From 10 to 12 December 2024, Alcobendas hosted the Global Industry Forum 2024, a forum organised by Cink Venturing as part of the Innovative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Promotion Programme (PIEEI). The event brought together startups, corporations, investors and industrial stakeholders around the key challenges of Industry 4.0, automation, data, renewable energy and sustainability.
With over 300 participants, GIF2024 combined conferences, workshops, panel discussions and networking spaces to strengthen a model of collaborative innovation with real impact.
The challenge: to strengthen a more competitive, technology-driven and sustainable industrial entrepreneurship ecosystem in Spain. The main issues identified were:
Through an inclusive, nationwide vision with an international outlook, a programme was designed focusing on training, connections and visibility, with the aim of building strong relationships and fostering sustainable growth.
To address the main challenges facing the industrial entrepreneurship ecosystem, the GIF2024 project was structured into five distinct phases:
The objectives, key themes and structure of the forum were defined. A content programme was designed around the main challenges of the industrial sector, and the most relevant profiles were identified in order to invite speakers, participants and key ecosystem stakeholders.
The final agenda was developed, combining conferences, panel discussions, practical sessions and networking spaces. In parallel, a communication and outreach campaign was launched to secure the participation of startups, corporations, public administrations and investors.
Over three days, the forum hosted more than 20 activities, 40 speakers and over 300 attendees. The content focused on digital transformation, sustainability, automation and data analytics applied to the industrial sector, combining informative and hands-on formats.
An attendance tracking and data collection system was implemented, gathering both qualitative and quantitative information. Participant profiles, engagement levels, satisfaction and alignment with the objectives were analysed, ensuring full traceability of results.
Once the event had concluded, a comprehensive activity report was produced, a satisfaction survey was conducted and the main learnings and content were shared through the project’s communication channels, including media, social media and newsletters.
The results of GIF2024 not only consolidated the event as a national benchmark in industrial innovation, but also laid the foundations for future editions focused on effective connections between startups, companies and institutions.
